The current emerging standard of care in dentistry and dental implantology is the use of 3D X-ray studies. 3D imagery allows a doctor to collect the highly valuable diagnostic information needed to best plan and deliver dental surgical care. The Vatech Green CT2 3D CBCT imaging system can be used for an array of applications, including endodontics, implantology, surgery, fractures, and orthodontics, as well as TMJ assessment. The images accurately show the patient's anatomy and evaluate bone volume and quality. A typical scan takes only 20 seconds and exposes the patient to a very safe and minimal amount of radiation. The doctor can also share a visual diagnosis with patients, making them more comfortable with their treatment plan and active participants in their care.

Dental X-rays are essential preventative and diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. Digital radiography uses digital X-ray sensors to replace traditional photographic film, producing enhanced computer images of teeth, gums, and other oral structures and conditions. DIAGNOdent is an advanced laser technology that helps dentists find tooth decay more accurately and reliably in its earliest stages, before it has the chance to cause widespread damage. We use it alongside visual examinations, dental explorers, and X-rays. The DIAGNOdent handpiece scans your teeth with harmless pulses of laser light. When the laser reaches decay under the surface of the tooth, the decay emits a fluorescent light that bounces back to the sensor and is translated into an audible signal and a digital readout. In general, the higher the number, the greater the amount of decay in the tooth.
